Wisteria House

A haunted past. An unexpected bond. A house that remembers everything.
When sixteen-year-old Ivy Hart arrives at Wisteria House—a weathered old foster home wrapped in vines and shadows—she isn’t looking for hope. She’s just trying to survive her final year of school, keep her head down, and stay invisible until it’s over.
But the house has a memory of its own.
Old journals surface. Faded photographs hint at lost girls and whispered names. And there’s Gabriel—the quiet boy at the fence who sketches what others overlook, and who sees Ivy more clearly than she’s used to.
As Ivy and Gabriel piece together the secrets hidden within the walls, Ivy begins to question what home really means—and whether she might be brave enough to claim it for herself. But some truths are buried deep for a reason. And some echoes don’t fade easily.
Wisteria House is a moody, emotionally layered YA mystery set in an eerie Australian estate, with themes of resilience, chosen family, and first love that lingers long after the final page.
Perfect for fans of We Were Liars, House of Hollow, and The Haunting of Bly Manor.

What Did I Just Walk Into?

A hauntingly beautiful young adult story about memory, loss, and the quiet resilience of a girl who’s learned not to hope—until a strange old house, and a boy with a sketchbook, change everything. Wisteria House is part mystery, part ghost story, and part emotional healing journey. It’s gothic and intimate, eerie and tender, all at once.

What I Loved:

Ms. Radha Journey’s writing is so smooth and immersive—it flows like poetry in prose form. Every word feels intentional, every scene quietly powerful. Ivy’s voice felt authentic and emotionally rich, and the bond she forms with Gabriel is understated, sincere, and deeply moving. The way the house becomes a character of its own is pure magic. I didn’t want this story to end.

What Could’ve Been Better:

Honestly? I only wish there were more pages. I wanted to linger longer in the world of Wisteria House.

Perfect for Readers Who Love:

📖 Gothic YA with emotional depth

📖 Haunted house mysteries

📖 Quiet, slow-burn romance

📖 Found family and healing through connection

📖 Lyrical, atmospheric writing

Vibe Check:

Melancholy meets mystery with a thread of warmth and hope. Imagine House of Hollow crossed with The Haunting of Bly Manor, but with a gentler heart.
