DARK MIST: The Nephilim Vampire

Monica, a Nephilim, lived a secretive life with her loyal companions. Her unique ability to extend her lifespan caught the attention of the Omega Order, who sought to abduct her for their experiments and research into longevity. Though Monica was an extraordinary being, endowed with remarkable powers, so were the members of the Omega Order. It would be a battle of life and death.

As you enter the world of Dark Mist, you will face danger, violence, abduction, forbidden love, secret societies, and magical romance. This dark urban fantasy is a fast-paced blend of paranormal romance and science fiction. Follow the intense battle between two powerful women and a mysterious man who becomes entangled in their conflict as he strives to save his Nephilim lover.

Robin’s Review

Triggers: Abduction, medical and occult experimentation, violence and blood, imprisonment, coercion, steamy scenes, religious and supernatural themes, grief and trauma.

What Did I Just Walk Into?

A shadow soaked road trip through labs, lairs, and bad decisions, where immortality, obsession, and survival all insist on sharing the same bed. It feels like one long chase scene where trust, love, and common sense keep trading seats.

Here’s What Slapped:

Monica, our Nephilim heroine, is powerful, stubborn, and deeply tired of being treated like a lab sample. Watching her push back against the Omega Order feels satisfyingly feral.

The Omega Order is not your bargain bin villain setup. Think science cult with a corporate budget, very little conscience, and way too much interest in what is inside your veins.

The genre blend works. You get urban fantasy grit, horror atmosphere, and sci fi meddling with immortality, wrapped around an adult love story that actually matters to the stakes.

The pacing does not really believe in brakes. When people are not fighting for their lives, they are plotting, bleeding, or falling into feelings they absolutely did not plan on having.

The romance hits that dark, high stakes place where you are not sure if you want these two to kiss, run, or stab somebody together. Ideally all three.

The world building drops occult hints and secret history in ways that feel like there is a bigger mythos lurking just out of frame, which is perfect for a series starter.

What Could’ve Been Better:

The prose has a very specific flavor. If you like slightly ornate, intense sentences, you will be happy. If you prefer stripped down and minimal, there will be a few spots that pull you out.

Some side characters feel more like props than fully fleshed people. They serve the plot just fine, but I occasionally wanted one more layer of motivation or backstory.

If you live and breathe paranormal romance, you will recognize some familiar bones under all the fresh details. It is fun, but it is not ripping the genre wide open.

Perfect for Readers Who Love:

Dark urban fantasy with science labs, secret orders, and morally messy powers

Heroines who refuse to be anyone’s experiment, even when it costs them everything

Romance threaded through real danger, not just conveniently dramatic lighting

Found family under fire, occult hints, and a villainous organization you love to hate
