Mommy Issues

All my life I wanted a baby to love, to care for, to call my own.

Then I was blessed with my Little Doll.

I just can’t stand the crying.

What Did I Just Walk Into?

Six pages. That is all Ms. Lula Von Goth needed to grab me by the heart, squeeze hard, and then politely leave me staring into the void. This is short, raw, painful, and way too effective for something you can read in one breath and then think about for hours.

Here’s What Slapped:

The emotional weight here is brutal in the best way. It captures longing, grief, and unraveling without needing to overexplain itself. The voice feels intimate and painfully believable, which makes the whole thing hit harder. It is the kind of short horror that is not loud about what it is doing, and somehow that makes it even worse. Respectfully, rude.

What Could’ve Been Better:

Honestly, my only complaint is that I wanted more. Not because it felt incomplete, but because Ms. Lula Von Goth proved she could wreck me in six pages and I would have absolutely kept reading.

Perfect for Readers Who Love:

grief horror, quiet psychological dread, emotional damage in tiny packages, motherhood horror, stories that punch you in the chest without needing a lot of pages

Sum up:

This one hurt. It is short, sharp, and deeply sad, with the kind of emotional horror that creeps in softly and stays behind. Beautifully written, deeply unsettling, and absolutely worth reading if you are prepared for the feelings.
